After brewing cycle keep-hot plate is covered in coffee that ran down the sides of the carafe.
Check to ensure carafe is sitting correctly on keep-hot plate. If carafe is removed from the proper position during the brewing cycle for more than twenty seconds, this problem is likely to occur.
The problem on model 49983, the hose came off by itself over time and the pipe it goes on is not easily accessable. It is a deep problem. You need about a foot long needle nose pliers. I am still working on trying to get the hose on. Not easy.
