All of a sudden after some flickering a quarter of my screen on the left side has gone bad. The colours are not what they are supposed to be like on the rest of the screen. There’s a split by a vertical line. Is this a software issue or a hardware issue? Can it be fixed without replacing the entire screen?
If you have the same bright/dark division it is a hardware issue. If the BIOS looks fine then you are looking at a software issue. If your MacBook is still under the original warranty, you should contact the Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with the Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting remotely.
