Looking the iPad Air Front Panel Assembly Fix Kit ( iPad Air Front Panel Assembly) and saw that Adhesive Strips seem to be sold separately (iPad Air Adhesive Strips) and not included in the kit. Is there a reason for that? Are there other things required for this job that aren’t included in the “kit”? -Joshua
I’m going to go with the reason the adhesive strips aren’t included is because there is pre-installed adhesive stickers on the back of the screen—these are the black sticker looking things in the picture. If you do want to use your own adhesive, everybody loves “red tape” which will soon be sold in precut kits.
When you remove the digitiser from an ipad (at least the ones I have done), the adhesive stays in place. And you can reuse it perfectly fine. So I would say they don’t include it because it’s most likely not required.
