After replacing the front panel and digitizer the bottom part of the touch screen doesn’t allow me to go to mail or internet or phone or ipod and the rest of the touch screen is off by one application if i touch the second app on the top row it selects the top left app. REALLY FRUSTRATING!!
It does sound like your digitizer is malfunctioning. Make sure that you have the right digitizer, there is a pretty good probability that your 3G is actually a 3GS and it could cause this. Also make sure that your connectors are properly seated. Good Luck
