replaced battery. when I reconnect the battery to the socket on the motherboard the vibrator motor runs like a “motorboat” I cannot see any mis-connection to cause this. phone was operating normally before battery swap.

I had it once when some greyish material used for insulation flaked and a small piece got stuck inside a connector. It bridged two pins and caused a short - constant vibration. Once I found and removed it, the vibrating stopped.

I have seen this with HTC and it was a failed motherboard, would not turn on it had not been opened phone would vibrate on battery connect but battery was fine in other phone, if you need help https://fb.com/groups/aidanmacgregor/?ft
