for some reason the top half of my screen glitches and shows at the bottom of the screen
Adding a picture to your question would help you get a better answer but in general, screen related issues are caused by…a bad screen ;-). This could be due to dropping the device or a lower quality aftermarket screen that may have been installed previously. You can replace this yourself by following this guide.
