Whenever I adjust the volume w/ my IPod classic’s click wheel, the audio glitches, i.e. it cuts in and out as though I were messing with the headphone jack. What is causing this, and how best can I fix it.
Chris, if the audio stays proper after you turn it up or down, I would start by replacing the click wheel first. If it does not I would suggest a new audio jack/hold switch cable. Both parts are inexpensive and you could safe yourself some trouble and do both at the same time. there is always a chance that it is the audio IC but less likely if the error stops after volume adjustment.
