My TV’s (Samsung UN55ES7500FXZA) screen is black and no audio but the “Samsung" name along the bottom lights up (which only lights up when the power is on). I can hear the TV cycling on and off repeatedly but it never comes on. I have already replaced the power supply board and the lead connector power cable with no luck. I found that if I disconnect the lead connector power cable between the power supply board and the main board the TV will stop powering on and off and the screen backlighting comes on, making the screen white. However, still no picture or audio. My next thought is to replace the t-con board or main board or both, but don’t really want to waste more money if those aren’t the problem. Any thoughts?

Hi @nouseforaname , It’s looking like a mainboard problem. Disconnecting the mainboard from the power board and getting the backlights turning on and staying on indicates that the backlights are OK. There will be no picture because the mainboard is disconnected. Normally with TCON board problems there will be audio but no video or if there is video there may be problems with it such as a distorted picture or lines etc. Here’s a link to the troubleshooting guide which may be of some help. Be patient it takes a little while to go from “processing” to “Download” ;-)
