Is the glass cracked? If it is that can sometimes stop the touch screen from working. Depending on if the digitizer layer got cracked. The digitizer is the touch screen layer (still transparent) that is fused under the glass together. It’s hard to notice but if the glass solely is just cracked and not the digitizer layer not being damaged the touch screen should still work. Just to be clear the display of the screen is a separate piece from the fused touch screen + digitizer.
