After booting up, the screen will go dark after a few minutes of running. If I close the lid, and open it again it will flicker but then stay off. If it stays closed for an extended period time (30 minutes or longer) when I open it up it will stay on for a few minutes before turning off. I knoe the computer is still on, because I can shine a light through the Apple logo and still operate it.
Sounds like a backlight related issue..probably a component part of the backlight driver circuit is going to fail soon, either a capacitor that can’t hold power anymore or a resistor. Definitely a hardware issue that would need a component level repair.
