Hi there! Hope you’re well. When I start my MBP in the mornings I have no problems. Then after 60 mins of use the bottom 1/5 of the screen starts to flicker, then freeze then go black (takes about 45 mins to go through the process). If I keep using the laptop, the next 1/5 starts to follow the same pattern. Then the effect creeps up to half way. That’s as far as I’ve let it get to date. There are no problems when I mirror my screen to my iPad Pro (even when the main monitor is going crazy). I’ve tried resetting the PRAM and SMC. I’ve monitored the temperature of all the CPUs (no overheating). The only thing that works is leaving the MBP off or with the screen shut for several hours at which point the effect starts to recede back down the screen. If I leave it off for long enough, the screen starts completely fine before following the process above. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

Have you tried directly connecting an external display via a USB-C to HDMI cable to your external display or TV set? Mirroring uses the WiFi connection not the same circuit as the your internal display. If it your external display looks good the issue is within the internal display. Depending on where you live you might have a two year warranty or if you took out AppleCare+ support contract you have a free repair due you. If not you’ll need a new display assembly, Ouch!
