Solved Why Does My Screen Have Patches Of White Pixels In Patterns Imac G5

It works in every way with the exception of some screen anomalies. It has little patches of white pixels in patterns about 3" apart vertically. Do you think it’s the inverter board, memory or power supply? Thanks.

Please open the back of your machine and inspect the capacitors for swelling and/or corrosion. See if your serial number (located on the bottom of the stand) falls within these ranges: Serial Number ranges: W8435xxxxxx – W8522xxxxxx QP435xxxxxx – QP522xxxxxx CK435xxxxxx – CK522xxxxxx YD435xxxxxx – YD522xxxxxx

I would lean more towards the inverter or the whole screen itself. If the pixels ever turn solid black then it’s most likely the display itself suffering from pixels dying.
