I’ve had my PS4 for about 4 years, I don’t play very often but the last time it worked normally was like 2 months ago. I was trying to watch Netflix but it keeps telling saying that the consul was overheated and that i had to turned off. I’ve already opened it and cleaned off all the dust, but it still didn’t work. I think the fan is the problem, but I’m not sure. What could be the problem? and Should I take it to an expert or could I fix it my self?
Was it cleaned up to where the heatsink was removed? Most of the dust build up is behind the heatsink fins with the fan removed. Also need to ensure all thermal pads present, clamp is on the correct orientation two screw hole ends should be facing upwards and old thermal paste replaced with new one.
