Chosen Solution
I put my nextbook on the charger and it only charges to 32%. Why is this happening and what can I do to repair this? I have had my nextbook for about 2 years and it has been doing this for approx. 6 months now. My model number is NX16A11264. Do I need to get a new battery, or reset back to factory settings?
Hi @valrose , You could try a factory reset (backup the tablet first). At least this will indicate whether it is a software or a hardware problem. If it works OK when in its’ factory default mode then the problem is software related. Check what downloaded apps you had installed and re-install them one by one to see if the problem comes back. (list what downloaded apps you installed before you reset the tablet obviously ;-) If it still doesn’t work OK when in factory default mode then it is either a battery problem or a systemboard problem. Unfortunately without a schematic of the systemboard it may be difficult to determine which it is. You could try replacing the battery - example only and hope that it was the problem and now it works OK but it would be a gamble.
