Chosen Solution
Installed ifixit battery in to above mentioned mac. I turned it on and battery was at 67%. The repair guide indicated calibrating battery by running computer till it shut off then recharge it and run down again. During first recharge the charging only reaches 54%. I think i wrote 57 but i see it has stopped at 54. Been on charger about 12 hours. Late 2013 retina 13 inch macbook pro.
Try an SMC reset and NVRAM reset (Google these to find out how). If this doesn’t work, you have a faulty battery, unless the original had the same fault.
