Chosen Solution Friend gave me a phone she Thought had a bad battery, changed it. Everything powered as it should. Plugged in charger nothing. Is not detected on itunes. tried new chargers. Changed power port. Still same thing If you are sure it is not the charging dock, usb cable or the fpc dock connector then I would say your tristar needs replacing.

Do power switche, no volume switch. Ifixit sell the case with small parts in it like the charging coil and switches. If they don’t have it available fixez.com carrys them.you will need to transfer everything from the old phone to the new case....

If so, as it is a SMD (Surface Mounted Device) type micro USB connector, you will need the tools and skills required to unsolder and solder SMD devices. If the connector is just loose and is still inside the tablet then perhaps it can just be re-terminated....

Chosen Solution I use head phone to listen to TV. I have just replaced battery which wasn’t the problem. Headphones lose channel and reception is lost. All I can get is static. Sound is crystal clear for 3 - 5 minutes. Maybe the audio jack is loose ,in the internal cable,and can’t keep up with the data rate of the voice passing through the cable.
Chosen Solution even on speaker full volume sound is too low. Hey, what usually happens is the speaker/earpiece grill gets filled with dust making it hard for the sound to pass through. Usually happens with old phones or heavily used phones. The same happens with charging ports and headphone jacks. Take a flashlight and shine inside, try to see if there is any build-up of dust. Your best bet is to take something thin and gently poke it out....

So at least you can get to your data using a second Mac. But the bad news is you need a bootable external drive to try to boot up your system and backup your data. Or, you’ll need a second Mac to reformat your drive....
