Chosen Solution MacAir 11’‘ Late 2010 with a bulging battery (keyboard puffed up). Charger cord shows a green light. It powers on with the charger, but I get only a lighted LCD screen with a slash-circle at its middle that periodically alternates with the Apple logo. Doesn’t go to boot at all. Is it safe to remove the battery and operate the laptop without that battery? I’m hoping the logicboard and SSD are still OK....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone. Really need help with my iphone 6. The device was plugged into a car charger but remained on 2% throughout and didn’t increase in charge. Now the device is off and refused to charge, turn on or reboot despite using different charging options. I tried a wall outlet, the computer, a different cable. I’m afraid the car charger might have damaged it somehow. Please assist me to fix it....

Chosen Solution Just replaced HD with and SSD and 8 GB RAM with 16 GB. ALL Great….accept…I thought why not be slick and replace the Hard Drive Cable as well. I couldn’t get the yellow ZIF cable back into the ‘holder’. and broke the little door that hold said ribbon. Other than the little “computer-is-on” pulsing light in the front right, computer seems fine. No issue. Track pad, keyboard, screen, performance…all good....

Chosen Solution Hello, about 8 months ago my cat spilled a glass of water on my Macbook pro Retina A1502. I wasn’t home at the time but my wife immediately turned off the power and flipped it upside down. After leaving it in rice (I know now it doesn’t help) for a few days I tried to power it up but got nothing. I took it to a local computer shop and the guy basically told me I was a moron for trying to turn it on at all, he opened it up unhooked my battery and told me to take it to someone to get an alcohol bath....

Chosen Solution So my MacBook Pro suddenly went black screen the other day and then it stopped recognizing my 6 months old 2TB Seagate SSHD. When I was finally able to get my MacBook Pro to go into recovery mode and then disk utility, it wouldn’t pull up the sshd that was inside it. It just pulled up the cpu. Freaking out, thinking the sshd had failed on me, I bought a new sshd from amazon and pulled out the old “failed” sshd....

Chosen Solution Hey there, I was donated an iMac, which happens to have a firmware lock on it (not stolen or anything, just the previous owner somehow failed to remember the password). We have been unable to reset the firmware password through Apple, as the previous owner does not want anything to do with it. It has the standard 1TB Fusion Drive, which appears to be failing. My question is: if I create a bootable disk on another mac, and swap it out with disk inside the iMac, will it boot?...

Chosen Solution I spilled tea on a table that had my switch lite on, and immediately dried it up with paper towels. Initially there was no response from the switch but now it seems to just be the screen which isn’t responding. I can hear the rest of the console responding to button presses. I’ve had the switch in a warm room for 4 days now, with no change in screen response....

Chosen Solution I have a LG 50" Smart TV with the model number 47LV5500 that has worked perfectly fine since I got it and I just turned it on and there is discoloration and rainbow lines throughout the screen. It was never hit or bumped into so I’m unsure why the LCD would be messing up. Is there any way to fix this without spending a bunch of money? @deidradrake that depends on where these lines are and what the screen looks like....

Chosen Solution Whenever I drive 10-15 minutes my thermostat will risebetween middle line and red overheat area but then drops back down. My heat also blows cold when it rises and blows hot when it lowers. My coolant light flashes but theres coolant in the radiator. Any ideas? Hi @dd21 , You don’t state the model or year of the vehicle but it sounds like you have a sticking thermostat in the engine’s coolant system....

Chosen Solution My 1 year old dropped the computer about 1 foot to a solid wood floor. No visible sign of damage. I can turn the computer on but it powers down after between 10 seconds and 2 minutes randomly. Sometimes i can log on and sometimes not before it powers down. I think it might be that the fan broke in the fall and when it tries to kick in it shuts the comp off....

Chosen Solution I’m doing a full housing swap on an iphone 8, going well. Have done the volume buttons, they’re clicky and feel really good. The power button though, yeah not clicky at all no matter what I try.. not sure what to do, it’s as if it is constantly being pressed in so it’s not possible to press it. Only other thing i can think of is to try the button mechanism from an iphone 8 plus, if they’re even the same size, but I’m not keen on completely tearing that one down....

Chosen Solution I just bought a surface book from ebay. I let it charge for a few hours while I went to class, when I came back it said Batter 1: 0% and not charging. I’ve tried everything, from resetting to repairing using the surface diagnostic tool. Nothing seems to work. I even tried manually charging the clipboard. But it just won’t charge. If I let the clipboard charge for an hour then it shows 88% and shuts down immediately after I unplug it....

Chosen Solution My mi4iui front camera blerr Has it always been blurry ?Is this a condition that has just started . does the other camera, rear facing camera , take clear shots ? check it for protective lens covers , fingerprint smudge or grease. Do you have a screen protector on the camera? If so does it cover the camera and if it does then you should try removing it and taking a picture....

Chosen Solution as last a month my laptop shut down as soon as connect with adapter . and offline adapter should charge the laptop Hi, May be laptop charging section problem. Open your laptop and check the power connection. May be short circuit problem inside the circuit. Rectify that and clear your problem.

Chosen Solution I replaced my iPhone 6s Plus LCD, as it was crack only to the glass. When I installed the new LCD screen to the iPhone and the apple logo appear, I notice there was an light leak just at the top of screen. You only notice this light when the background is black. I have took the iPhone apart and re-did the connection and made sure to not damage the flex cable, but still the same....

It should tell you what settings you need to have in your phone. If you cannot find it, contact their customer support section. I have a Blu Studio 7.0 lte, I have to use Hangouts app as my sms app in order to send/receive pictures....

Chosen Solution Whenever I tried to use the top of my phone which is like trying to click the search bar or clicking the x button on the top or when I wanna screen record it doesn’t work for me. Keep in mind it’s only the top of my phone. Please let me know if anybody has a solution to this problem. The digitizer (part that takes in touch input) is most likely faulty....

Chosen Solution I have this MBP 15" Mid 2012 that someone spilled some water on. I have no idea how much because they removed the bottom cover and put it near a fan and then turned it on (against my advice, why do people do that?) I blew it out with a compressor and it runs fine but when the battery is installed, it won’t charge or run off the MagSafe adapter, it only runs off battery....

Chosen Solution Having problems replacing drivers door window regulator,cant seem to line up the top bolts to the holes no room or play,do I have to remove the window which is in the up position wedged,if yes how please. davies , You should not have to remove the window, It would be good if you could get a second set of hands. You may have to unwedge/lower the window or change its position to get it to line up for assembling on the regulator....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’m trying to replace the jack cable of my stereo headset (4 poles) I did repair some other headphones (3 poles) in the past. I cant figure out how to solder those wires properly (and why there is no gnd?) into a 3.5mm jack like this one Any help would be highly appreciated.
