Chosen Solution I’m adding a SSD to a 2015, 21.5" iMac. This system has only a Flash drive as it’s primary hard drive so Apple did not install a data or power cables for a SATA drive nor the rubberized caddy for a new drive so I’m trying to source these parts? Chosen Solution Very weird problem. Once laptop has been shutdown, it won’t boot until I move the RAM to the other slot. Then boots once more and I then have to move RAM back the next time it is powered off. Restarts or ok, it only occurs when machine is powered off. Tried bios update to latest version on Acer site. Tried different memory, tried removing battery, and cmos battery. Just keeps on doing it....

If need be, in the past I was able to order similar brush to what I required in a old saw(new brush was a little wider) so all I did was sand it down a bit to fit, reused old holder/spring and it worked very well....

Chosen Solution After an hour or so my computer gets really hot and then turns off. All laptops shut down when they overheat. This is done to avoid permanent damage, etc, etc. To prevent it from further overheats in the future, I’d recommend using a can of compressed air to blow out each of the vents that your computer uses as cooling. If you want to, you can actually disassemble the entire laptop and do a thorough cleaning of the likely very dirty fan....

I knew the laptop is working because there’s a light on the cap lock key if I press it and the dvd player will open if I push the eject button. I’ve been using this laptap everyday.
